SEND

St Peter's Church of England Primary School is a welcoming, inclusive family with a strong Christian ethos, a vibrant community, and a commitment to excellence for staff and children.
We are a school where in a nurturing environment our children and staff feel secure and develop enthusiasm and confidence to learn and achieve.

Our learning environment is exciting and encourages ALL to participate. Our curriculum is stimulating, broad, creative and relevant, and focused on the whole child so that they are well prepared and equipped for the future.

Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCo), Lynne McCullough, works with the Pastoral Support team to make sure that appropriate access to the curriculum is available for all children. The kind of support your child may receive whilst with us might include:

  • Small group interventions
  • A personalised plan to meet a child's individual needs.
  • Access to outside agencies e.g. speech and language therapy, educational psychologist etc.

As well as supporting children we also want to support parents. As a result, this page is designed to give parents/carers access to any of the information you may require regarding special educational needs provision at St Peter's Church of England Primary School.

For further information please contact our SENDCo, Lynne McCullough: lynnemccullough@sppschool.uk or 01275 843142

Leaders are ambitious for what pupils with SEND can achieve. Staff know the pupils well. Individual pupil plans are precise and regularly reviewed. Leaders liaise well with outside agencies to make sure that pupils receive high-quality support. This is particularly the case for pupils with social and emotional needs who have access, when needed, to supportive nurture provision. All pupils with SEND learn the same ambitious curriculum as their peers.
